This is the debut record not only of the band, but of the three musicians involved. The trio formed as a way to promote the business run by Jack-Matt's dad. As we practiced our jazz standards to play at community centers in the area, we started throwing some originals and arrangements into the mix.

Eventually we decided that we had some pretty cool ideas and wouldn't it be great if we could have some free recording time and see what we could put together? It just so happened that Garrett's other band, M-Town Jazz Jam (mtownjazz.com), records their rehearsals in their guitarist's basement studio. So Dave, being a supporter of the music and a cool guy, let us in there for a day to cut a few tracks.

This EP is the result. It features three originals, one written by our friend Adam and two written by me, along with a few takes on other people's compositions.

Thanks go out to Dave for letting us record and mixing the recordings for us, to Cassie for painting the cover art based on Picasso's Three Musicians, to Justin for naming the band, to Adam who wrote This One's For Nick, and to Mr Nick Rotindo to whom said tune is dedicated.
